It may be over, but the decisions made (or not) at COP26 in Glasgow will reverberate globally in the years to come. Outside of these major events, it’s worth reminding ourselves there are plenty of industries that don’t need to wait for transnational agreement to combat climate change… and architecture is among them.
Caroline Pidcock is an architect and spokesperson for Architects Declare Australia, a new advocacy body calling on the built environment industries to radically change the status quo to bring down emissions. She travelled to the conference this year and joins Blueprint to relay her experiences.
