Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers announces the promotion of three professionals to its senior leadership team:
Armis Ales, was named Associate Principal, Director—Electrical Department. He will oversee electrical engineering design and project management for upgrades, additions and new construction for the firm’s educational, commercial, institutional and transportation projects. Ales has been involved in numerous high-profile projects for Lilker, notably the new JetBlue Terminal 6 at JFK Airport and the award-winning Beekman Hotel & Condominium in lower Manhattan.
Santiago Cabo-Freixedas, PE, LEED® BD+C, was named Associate Principal, Director—Mechanical Department. With over 15 years at Lilker, Cabo-Freixedas’ expertise includes mechanical infrastructure systems design for both new construction and renovations for diverse building types, including public agencies, corporate, commercial, institutional and transportation facilities. Freixedas has been the lead mechanical engineer on many significant projects including the new JetBlue Terminal 6 at JFK Airport, numerous SCA public schools, and the infrastructure modernization at 7 Hanover Square.
Alex Akselrod was elevated to Associate Principal. An expert in the design of mechanical systems, Akselrod also provides project management for corporate facilities including new construction, fit-outs, renovations, additions, adaptive reuse and conversions. His portfolio ranges from smaller workplaces to large-scale headquarters, retail establishments, restaurants and multi-family residential design.
